Summer. Last day of school, summer vacations with the family, and cookouts. What’s not to like. There comes a time in your mid to late 20′s, and you have no kids, you’re trying to bump up your career, and summers become no fun anymore. They leave you longing for those days of no responsibility and back yard barbecue’s from your childhood. Now that I am in my early 30′s, I’m being reminded again of all those wonderful summer feelings, longings, and treasures. This year I am imagining a simpler summer lifestyle, like the ones from a “great beach read”. My day would go a little something like this.
Wake up in a sunny field with the hubs next to me.
Have a refreshing outdoor shower
A little boat ride.
A mid morning nap
A little lunch
A Walk by the old Ferris Wheel
An afternoon nap, snuggle, or read.
And, dinner with friends
A Smore’s bar by the fire
Unwind with friends, drinks, and chocolate
Sleep under the stars.
